The City of Virginia Beach’s Waste Management Division offers Bulky Item Pickup services; however, they do not accept all types of materials. Construction and demolition debris, carpet, doors, concrete, glass, dirt, and more are not accepted as part of the program. This is where a dumpster comes in handy. Temporary roll-off containers allow you to dispose of non-hazardous materials otherwise not accepted by the bulky item pick-up service.
How much do roll-off dumpsters cost?
Dumpsters cost as low as $250 and as high as $750+. Many factors affect dumpster cost, including size.(Dumpsters come in different sizes, most commonly falling between 10 and 40 yards.) Dumpster size, the debris going in the dumpster, where you live, and other factors will all play a big role in how much your dumpster costs.
Can roll-off dumpsters be placed on the street?
Yes, they can, but you’ll need to obtain a Right of Way Permit from the Public Works Department.
